I am happy to report that the mixing was finished on the new album last night!!!
Lots of long hours, a remix and one unsuccessful mastering job ( will redo that on Wednesday in LA )...glad that I stuck to my guns and remixed....it's SOOOOOOOOO much better now...thank goodness.

Can't wait for everyone to hear it....now I just need to decide on the name of the band....how about some fan participation...G-Force or Fortitude...what's the vote?

Let me know.

More updates later,
FG

G-Force was also the name of a band that Gary Moore was in years ago. I have 1 or 2 of their albums.

I'm sure whatever you choose, Frank, will be fine.

Me, I would have to hear the music to decide what name best fits the bands style.

thought g-force rang a bell. what about calling the band g-force and the album fortitude ? or vice- versa ? sure it sounds great anyway.

I found a strange tune on YT called Gambale Twist performed by both Barritas and Benito Urgu. While not a fest of sweeps during monochrome films, it was entertaining in its own right. Anybody familiar?

And we are officially off-topic... ...again I prefer Fortitude of the two for what it's worth. G-Force is fine, but reminds me too much of the 80s Japanese cartoon I watched as a kid (as well as the Gary Moore group mentioned earlier). For the fans, it doesn't matter much I suppose. We will likely buy anything FG releases regardless of the title.

I do like flat'n'sharp's Frank Gambale Group suggestion.

Frank don't you get problems naming your album G - Force? (With TC Electronics)
Hmmmmm... G Force would be cool, but more for a "rock" (You know what I mean) oriented album like e.g. Great Explorers.

Therefore I'd prefer Fortitude

Hiya folks,
Mixes and mastering done...boy we got it right this time...whew!!

Although, there is something on one tune that needs a remix...so we're not quite there yet. Photo session is book for when I get back from Lebanon and Italy in mid-September.
Then we can proceed with the cover.

Very excited...there seems to be real interest in important places already for this album....

That's all to report for now...the name still bugs me...thanks for the hilarious suggestions...obviously I need to start over with the name...I want something original and different...

Later,
FG

funny... Names are hard to come up with since they are so permanent.

like a tattoo you cant just change it on a whim? Unlike stupid message board posts, we can edit those, and yes I'm talking from experience.

I'm starting to warm up again to Fortitude...mostly because of the amount of intestinal fortitude required to be in the music business...hahahaha....

Mr. Redundant is good, but it's a bit long, and might be confused with Mr.Big.

I like Steel Dragon.

Frank says in the "Thinking Out Loud" CD inlay card that he thanks Robert for the album title which sounded a lot less snobby than "Audible Thoughts" or "Audible Art".

In that sense I would go for "Fortitude" over "Force".

"Force" anyway relates to the 80s-90s era in my opinion. Not only that but it brings in mind... long hair, black leather trousers metalheads! (no offense!)

Whatever the name turns out to be, I hope it won't delay the production of the album even for a single day :-)

Cheers,
Chris.

Preposterous !
But it is your band so....

I don't suppose "FG & The Google Force" would work. But think of all the incidental people you'd reach !

Alright, "Felin Gion" and it's settled. Okay, maybe "Fristina Gaguilera" would work too, now send it off to DiscMasters before I change my mind.

You're welcome.

The Goo Goo Dads present, Frankfurters and Plaster-Strato-Casters!

Review: not completely S & M, but definitely Altered and Dominant - a must buy!
